2nd ICGP race in Assen, motorcycle speedracing cathedral.

It's on the Assen GP circuit, the 4th and 5th of June that unfolded the second race of the 2016 ICGP Championship.

Race 1:

superb first ICGP race here in Assen which rejoiced the spectators, from the first until the last lap, impossible to tell who was going to win between Bertin, Jeacock, Hogton-Rusling and Simpson, in a tight melee for the whole race with an ever changing lead, 2 laps before the end Bertin is left behind and the victory will belong to either Jeacock, Hogton-Rusling or Simpson, on the final lap, Simpson takes the lead 3/10th of a second before Jeacock and Hogton-Rusling, Bertin ends up fourth before Parker, Reuberger, Foureau and Peers Jones. Leon Jeacock takes the best lap in 1.54.139

In 250 Colin Sleigh won't leave his opponents a chance, he ends up before Tennstadt (who makes best lap in 2.01.173) and Gilbert, both appart from each other by only 1/10th of a second at the finish line.

Race 2:

Bertin wants his revenge but he will have to compete with the three British riders!!

The start is given and its George Hogton Rusling who takes the lead before Leon Jeacock, Guy Bertin and Ian Simpson. In 250 Colin Sleigh takes the category's lead and won't let go until the end, Stefan Tennstadt out, and it's Don Gilbert anew on his magnificent Exactweld who takes 2nd place in front of Roy Flower who completes the podium. Best lap goes to Colin Sleigh in 1.59.654

Meanwhile, the battle rages between Jeacock, Bertin and Hogton-Rusling. Ian Simpson, winner of the 1st race has to give up, his engine overheating. It's finally Guy Bertin who takes first place as well as the best lap in 1.53.696, only rider to make it under 1.54.

At the finish Hogton-Rusling's sponsor makes a claim against Guy Bertin because when leaving the assembly area to place himself on the grid, Guy arrives 10 seconds late and makes his warm up lap despite the red flag, in his defense the race start was delayed by 30 minutes but the riders were not warned and the wait under the blazing sun on the pre-grid heats the engines up, Guy restarts his engine but arrives late which will lead to his making the warm up lap at the pre-grid exit under a red flag.

The race commitee, after receiving the claim united the Jury to deliberate, they decided that Guy Bertin was indeed at a fault for making his lap under a red flag and gave him a financiary penalty, not wanting to alter the race's results given that Guy had done his warm up lap and the race without getting stopped by a black flag, which could've happened.

This decision is the race commitee's, some may not agree, but the commitee deliberated and whatever some might think we act on and accept its verdict.
This has been the first time since the ICGP's creation that a claim has been filed, and we hope this will be the last.
